Is the President McKinley II worth the $250 price tag and can it be modified or tuned up?

I would shop around. The forum has Amazon and eBay tabs, check the radio out on them and look for a good price. as far as mods and tunes, I never had one so I wouldn't know. If you are looking for a good 10m conversion radio or are a ham wanting a mobile that is inexpencive then look at a Radioddity QT60 or 80 model, not sure of the model number, Ive heard good things about them.

I don't know much about the President McKinley II but I had a similar radio that had a speaker in the front but it was for two meters. It was great because I took out the double din car stereo (big unit) and I replaced it with a single din car stereo. My radio fit right under it into the dash and it blended in well and looked like a regular car stereo. The biggest feature I wanted was the speaker in the front that was loud so I didn't have to wire into the stereo system.
