What should I run

I have a 2004 cobra 29 nw wx st with a wilson 5000
For the time being i am keeping the radio but what should i do to the radio a peak and tune and or run the old ant amp 65 watt amp i have.

How much wattage would a swing kit improve the radio.

Any ideas on what kindof watts i can expect from a 29 peaked and tuned.
Is there any way to clarify myself on other peoples radios while using the amp. I dont think it is helping much rate now and i am just woundering if you have any ideas why it might be as such. If it is just because the radio is not tuned with the amp yet.

Any help would be very very helpful.

Its real scratchy when i have the amp on and talk to my buddys but when i turn the amp off and talk just through the radio it is as clear as can possibly be it seems

Is the radio tuned to work with an amp? 4 watt dead key? If not, that could be causing the scratchyness.
