I not sure they even make rebuild kits anymore but I remember them from years ago. The kits (bearings, brushes, etc.) had new diodes and rectifier bridge and they did increase the amperage some but you are using the same windings. I think it would be best to find a rebuilt unit, they almost have twice the stock amperage.

Re: Alternator help
NAPA often has HO alternators in their books.
If you are pulling an RV, sounds like you would be driving lots of miles. Plenty of time for charging. Your circumstances might be unique but wondering why you need more alternator output? Most high current needs are intermittent use.
Might possibly be better to spend money on a bigger primary battery and also install an auxiliary battery. Anderson Power Products makes a nice, efficient, painless-install battery isolator if needed. There should be a ton of room on your right side frame rail to put a really big auxiliary deep cycle battery. The RV I would assume has plenty of room for batteries as well.
Do you need more power when you are driving, or need more power when you are parked?

Yes, I'll be getting the bracket and the larger alternator. Will also be using a pair of Trojan T105 wired in series for the camper. The old 1996 F250Hd 4x4 has a tow kit. When I turn the key off, that isolates the camper from the truck.
I'll go dual Optima AGM batteries in the front end of the truck. Tough and spill proof too. That'll do quite nicely for the work lights and the KC lights.
