I want to get a non aluminium antenna so i don't have to deal with corrosion w/ the salt air where i live. Does anybody know who makes a
helically wound style antenna that can tune flat and handle over 2k? The only one i can think of are those 5' or 7' skipshooter antennas.
Any ideas? Thanks guys

Skip shooter antenna's tune with a nail on top. Same problem.
You might be able to seal the adjustable nail with 'coax seal' and heat shrink. Just a thought.

Corrosion occurs when you have two different metals together with an acid (salt water).

Try using "Never Seize"/"Anti-Seize" on the stinger. You can get it at auto parts stores.
