Where to get a 6" spring?

I've read that that you need a 6" spring to go with a 102" antenna. Where can I get a 6" spring? The longest I can find is 4".

Radio shack sells them. Have you checked it w/o the spring? I don't use the 6" spring and the reading on mine is 1.1 ch 1 and ch 40 1.0.

No spring on my 102. I've got 1.3 across the band

I bought one spring from Rat Shack and another from a Trucker CB shop....get on your radio and ask where the nearest cb shop is.

The spring is four inches because the ball mount radiates as if it were 2 inches of antenna. Hence, 2+4+102=108. You should be fine without a spring but, if your antenna is short (high swr on channel 1) then add the spring. Four inches is ok.

Interestingly, I was told the spring was 4" long but has a wire hidden inside the spring that makes the antenna see it as if it were 6" long  WTF?
