would this antenna work? i'm trying to put up an antenna at my apartment, but they won't allow any antennas/// i figure i could "hide" this one up there...

yep itll work. let me know what ya think about it if you get it. what kind of radio you gonna run with it? its basically a 40 dollar dipole that u could build for maybe 5 or 10 bucks. hahahaha

can someone throw me a link of how to make a good dipole that is stealthy and cheap, and still works good? and can handle 500w

Yes, it will work. Just keep in mind that being a horizontal dipole you'll only be transmitting two directions, which will limit your contacts. Then, you also have to consider that the dipole (being horizontal) will have a 20db attenuation due to cross polarization since most other operators will be vertically polarized. This will make little difference during skip openings though.
