If the fan is generating RF noise, improving the receive characteristics of the antenna (like improving grounds) will make it seem louder because you are picking up more signal. Try a torroid on the power line to the fan.
What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

You might want to put on a couple of ferrite beads on your power wires (Power and Ground) to your radio and Amp. I did this to get rid of the noise from my ac fan motor on a 2008 Ford Escape.
Good Luck!

Where do you get them? First thought would be Radio Shack. Then it's just a matter of looking at a few electrical parts suppliers till you find them. 'Amadon'/'Amidon'(spelling?) is a big name with torroids, and there are several others. Also go by names like ferrite 'beads' and a few others. There are some characteristics these things are rated with, the 'mix' type is one of them, and of course physical size/shapes. Which is 'best'? I haven't the slightest idea
!
I do know that the size/shape gets to be a big $$$ factor. If by chance you think you need a really big torroid, here's a hint. Find an old TV junker. Under all that itty-bitty copper wire on the 'yoke' of that picture tube, there's a ferrite torroid. If you spend several days unwinding all the copper wire you'll wind up with one very nice torroid and who knows how many miles of itty-bitty copper wire. (No idea what you'd need that wire for, but you'd have it, right?) That torroid has two halves which are typically help together with two metal clips. Don't loose them clips, you'll need them!
Ain't that one'a the best pieces of useless information you've heard in a while? The absolute best piece of useless advice about those torroids and TVs is that there ain't none in a flat screen...
