Wilson roof mount Pred 10k????

Post by wrong way »

:?: my 10k is on the way to the house from clays radio shop I just got the antenna I gotta make it work with the wilson roof mount (with the coax going into the star washer) I know it will screw right on but strenght will be an issue was thinking about drilling a hole through a 8" by 12" thin piece of alluminum and putting it against the roof (under side) and using that to strengthen my roof. will this allow for the star washer to get a good enough ground? I plan on grinding to bare metal.. thanks Wrong Way

It's a older roof-mount Predator...(no longer made)...I had to drill out the center hole of the saw blade so the thing would fit, and then because of the slop of the roof, I ended up having to add a couple extra bolts to stabilize everything...

The wilson roof mount is diffrent than the mount for the 10K. The 10K use's a stud mount and the wilson roof mount use something similar to a so239 connector. You are going to have to get a puck mount or atleast a behive style stud mount.
