Hi there soldierboy,
I'm a big 10k fan, but if you already have the Mr. Coily then I wouldn't think you would see any difference changing to 10k. I've ran the 10k for a long time, and it's a phenominal antenna. The only difference in the 2 I ever saw is that the 10k has replacable parts whereas the Coily may not. I did a lot of research before I bought mine, and I did a whole lot of research on Mr. Coily. He makes a great product, and I'm happy to see him building again. I'd stick with what ya have unless you're having issues with it. If I were to buy new NOW then I would go with the 10k as the vendors are reliable.

both are really good products, but they are right... Mr. Coily no longer makes mobile antennas... I actually just got off the phone with Dan. He said that he is only doing base station antennas. From what I hear it is hard to get a hold of him also. Another great antenna maker is [Please login or register to view this link] , tell Mike Bozo sent you. Yep...The Clown is right...Dan quit making the mobile antenna's, but is back making his "High Dollar" Base antenna's.
But if you already have a Mr. Coily, and are happy with it, then I would probably tell ya to just stick with it. Although the Predator 10K and Mr. Coily look similar, there are some difference's...Lot's of guys have problems getting the Coily's to tune very good. (myself included, Best I could get mine set was @ 1.8 SWR, and that was a 22" Dual Coil Mr. Coily)
You probably won't notice much difference in performance between the two, as long as you can get your Coily to tune low, if your having a problem getting it to tune (welcome to the club!)
The Predator 10K's are not hard to tune at all, and like stated earlier, they have a much better reputation as for as "Service after the sale" go's...
If you have the Mr.Coily "Trucker" antenna now, then you may want to check out the "SW" Predator 10K. It is a Dual Coil 10K that tunes shorter than the other 10K's, and is ideal for Mirror Bracket mounting since it tunes at around 48".

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
