Automotive vinyl works for that, or the free way, go to a local boat or car dealer. The vehicles are shipped with a white adhesive film that they rip off and toss upon arrival. Get some and trim it to fit. -drdx

Hate to tell you this, but nothing is going to stop scratches on paint if you put something 'solid' on paint. You can certainly reduce the amount of scratching, or maybe spread it out over a larger area, but you are still going to get scratches. Found something you wanna try? Do it! What's it gonna hurt?

yea Doc is right. on my tri-mag i started getting some scratches and ended up using at least electrical tape to finely wrap around the bottom edges of each mag.it cut the scratching down some but not fully.if my head liner didn"t look so nice and tight i"d do the ant. the right way and poke a hole.maybe someday down the road.

Don't worry about the scratches cause if you always leave the lil wil in the same place, de scratches will always be hid under it, right?

I took a thin piece of felt and cut it to the right size for my tri-mags and used some double sided tape and stuck it on there. Haven't noticed any scratches, but I hardly ever move it so that helps.
