thanks for that Bastage and just one other thing please tell me all those radios in your new signature are not your.. Or are thats not a bad thing, it just if so you should share those nice peaces of history with every one :) :) :)

I've owned them all but those aren't pics of mine, just pics I found on the web, but mine were all basically mint or very close to mint. I may have to take a pic of my own Messenger 223, it's still very purdy, works great and has all the original E.F.Johnson Tubes!
Walkie / Talkies in 1967, Heathkit 'Lunchbox' in 1971, Lafayette Dynacom 23B in 1972, Johnson Messenger 223 in 1973, Lafayette SSB-25A in 1974, Collins 32V-3 & Johnson Viking Ranger in 1975, then Midlands, Brownings, SBEs, Yaesus, Ten Tecs, Icoms, Kenwoods, etc, etc.

Of all the radios, (well over 100) that I've owned, I still love the Yaesu
FT-107M best, followed closely by iCOM's IC-761 / IC-751A, not forgetting the Kenwood TS-940SAT.
