Kind of shopping for an upgrade antenna for a mobile CB. I noticed they come in various lengths. Are those five & six foot jobs better than the shorter four ft. ones? Seems the price goes up as the length goes up. Thanks!

IN THE THE OPINION OF MY GIRLFRIEND, SIZE DOES MATTER

I THINK THAT AS LONG AS YOU GET A GOOD ANTENNA THE SIZE WON'T REALLY MATTER. DO YOU HAVE MORE INFO ON WHAT RADIO EQUIPMENT YOU ARE RUNNING WITH THE ANTENNA?

Often times it does. Combine excellent design and size and you often have an outstanding antenna. Now combine good design with smaller size, and you have a decent performer, etc. On the flip side of the coin combine a mediocre design with smaller size and you have a reasonably bad performer. It can work both ways.

Yea, before this turns into a **Censored** thread (/me foaming at the mouth ) what exactly are you thinking or wanting? We are glad to share practical experience with you...if we can anyway.
