Dosy "Sideband" Tone

Does anyone out there have any experience with Dosy's TFB3001-S Meter?
I recently bought one and the "tone" worked when it wanted to at first, and now it doesn't work at all.
It was a tone at key-up(not unlike a "Browning Squeal"). I guess it was intended for sideband purposes. Anyway, I thought it was cool while it lasted, but it's not there now.

I thought you had to push a button for the tone (SSB only), didn't think it did it on it's own. I looked for the manual to see but Dosy doesn't have it in their library, hmm, makes me wonder and that meter. It could be the switch broke or possible the keying transistor went bad if it is automatic.

It is on the list of manuals but not linked, another site linked it to the 4001 model. I believe Dosy has a repair/warranty facility, you have to email them for authorization.
