CX-3400HP vs Galaxy DX 45MP all input appreciated

New to the big radio scene..Me and my dump truck coworkers are starting to get into it..compete lol. I have a Monkey Made antenna..which radio would you prefer and why? What are opinions of The General Lee? That's my consideration for my first money spend. Thanks.

The 2 radios you have on the topic line are no longer made so if your looking at them they are used equipment so be aware of what mods may have been done to them. Out of those 2 I would go for the Connex. The General Lee is a great talking radio, the General HP40W is a higher wattage version, I would go with the HP40W. With being new to radios your antenna is the most important part of the system. Make sure all your "i's" are dotted and "T's" crossed, SWR is very important on mosfet final radios or you will just blow.
