This operator uses 3 of them on remote switch, interesting idea.

btw the 14 guage wire used for this antenna is 59 feet long for thoughs that are unaware.

well he was very nice and replied very quickly, here is what he had to report:
Hi Mark,
I can't speak for exactly how much directional effect there is - but there is some. I work all bands 160-10, but mostly 15,17, & 20. When listening to a station, I can switch between antennas and stick with the one providing the best signal. Depending on the band and location of the station, it could be any one of the three that provides the best signal. Usually the difference is at least a couple of S units.
I used to us two of the antennas and just recently added the third as an experiment. The third slopes toward the ground at about a 30 degree angle.
I have not noticed any interaction that affects SWR.
I use three different lengths too - 120, 98, 72 feet.
It's fun to tinker with and I'm very happy with how the MLS antennas work (and are built).
