2 meter radio suggestions.

I know this is a CB form but i was hoping that some of the ham operators out there that run CB as well could give me some suggestions on a good 2 meter radio.

the icom v8000, 2100h and 2200h are good radios from icom. the yaesu 2800m and 2900r are good ones.

New or used how much do want to spend and do want a HT or Mobile?

As far as money I am not real sure I think I would prefer a mobile.

used as long as it has not been abused to bad or new not sure. What would you suggest?

i'll second that. icom rigs have never let me down.

I got an old Radio Shack HTX 242. Has not let me down for over a decade! You can occasionally pick them up for a song today.

the big radioshack mobiles are ok but steer away from the little 25w mobile they made. they all have issues with muffled audio.
