Hey rockraven30..

A new tower is going to cost quite a bit. I would suggest that you keep an eye on craigslist and you could also ask anyone that is on the air in your city.

There are a few tower companies, but like I said...they are pretty pricey.

Good Luck

do you have ability enough to build one? i built mine years ago for a whopin 175 bucks. :compress:
you could use guywires on pipe and get it that 30' up.. 40 and it would have to be a tower.
i'd sell you mine so i could put up my new one but i'm lazy and actually content with current rig.
you could check into the state surplus yard and see if they have any old interstate lighting towers,,, man those babies are UP there... :icon_rolleyes:

I don't think it looks redneck at all. It looks good and just shows your resourceful.

kinda trying it out. i have power lines all around me. i think it helped nut i dont now. i am only running 100w so. i have not got any complaints yet. i did 8 feet on the balm. some say use like 20 feet, but i only have 50 feet of coax. the antenna is 25 foot up. so that would only give me like 5 feet to go inside.

I just ordered 100 foot fo LMR 400 and am going to make one myself with about 20 foot, I am having some TVI issues and I have tried a lot of things, I finally got it manageable, but one neighbor can still hear me in his TV when he mutes it....

try moving the antenna a few feet up, or over, you just might be at a resonant length from him or in his direct signal path.
