SWR's

Hope this doesn't cause any confusion but my SWR's are currently at 1.5 on channel 20 and 1.6 on 1 and 40. Does anyone have an opinion on what to do next? The antenna has a long shaft on bottom about 32" and a Wilson 2000 silver coil and then the whip is about 42". The total length is 6 ft 5 and 1/2". I've trimmed the whip and lengthened the shaft to get them to where its at now. I'm thinking that for a home brew antenna this might be as low as they'll get. Any opinions? Thx

Maybe that is the best you can get, i wouldn't worry about it. 1.5 is about a 4% reflect so if you have 10 watts going forward then only 400 milliwatts is coming back.

Ok Thx, That's the same swr that I was getting with a 9 ft steel whip in the center of this vehicle, so I'll just roll with it. Thx
