if you're gonna use it on a trunk/roof you will want to invest in a trimag mount or reinforce the trunk lid and install a solid mount because it is heavy.

Their heavy, and because of the flat coil they catch allot of wind...If you go with a MM, you better have a very sturdy mount...Now they will perform better than what you have now...Most Open Coil antenna's will beat the paints off of a Wilson. The Predator 10K's will run you about the same amount of $$ as the Wilson, and the Monkey, but are much lighter and catch less wind due to the spacing of the turns in the coil, and since they use round tubing for the coil and not flat stock...

Regardless which you go with, your going to find people on both sides of the table telling you which is better...IMO, I have used both, along with the 55's, Mr.Coily's, and Nugatron(which was a knock-off of a Monkey) and some Truck Stop "look-a-likes", and I always go back to the 10K...

i have asome 1000 and some 5000s put the 10k on a truck and did the install myself and the driver calls back a few days later and says this thing really talks better than my 5000 and the recieve is alot better

i told him i made a mistake and put the wrong 10k on his truck and i needed it back and he says its not coming back.
i was just testing the water
