I have a Cobra 29 that swings to about 40 watts with no amp and a Imax 2000 antenna. The antenna is on a 10 foot conduit pole and attached to a metal railing on a balcony 12 feet off the ground (bottom of antenna is 22' off the ground). The railing is attached to metal steps that go to the ground. I'm getting bleed over to my house phone and wondering if there is a fix?

I have both wireless and standard phone and it bleeds on both.

The most likeky cause is the coax has become part of the antenna and is radiating. Get 18 feet of coax and build yourself a Balun. Connect the Balun as close to the antenna feed as possible. If you have never built a Balun refer to this web site: [Please login or register to view this link]

Ok, I had about a 15' run of my coax running along with the phone line in my garage. I separated it so its about a foot away from the phone line...hoping that was the problem.

try putting ferrite snap on beads on your phone cord, for your home phone and on the power cord for your wireless phone
