Lil Wil and SWR
Hi all put a LIl WIl on my 94 GMC truck, Setting the SWR's the best I can get is on channels 1 & 40 are 1.8 and on 19 its 1.3 so is there anything I can do to bring down the other two channels?

The stinger is a little too long(indicated by the higher SWR on the higher ch. 40) if it's all the way down in the antenna base. Cut off 1/8-1/4" from the base of the stinger and check it again with a meter.

I think he said 1 and 40 are 1.8:1 and like 1.3:1 on 20 well if so that makes me think he needs to move the antenna around the roof a bit and check it here and then check it there and it may be to close to like a luggage rack or some other kind of metal them lil wils are really picky about mounting conditionds they are hard to please IMO! good luck. MORE THAN ONE METER WILL DRIVE YOU NUTS!!!!!! AND ALSO, UPGRADE YOUR WIRE, TAKE OUT YOUR 'SWING KIT' (2w swing 50w no sound good IMO), GO BUY A ROAD KING MIC, AND DRILL THE FREAKIN HOLE!!!! UNLESS ITS WORKIN FOR YA THEN ROLL WITH IT!
