102 whip on semi?
I have been toying with the idea of mounting an 102 to the frame of my rig behind the cab, I'm wondering if I will run into any swr or reflect issues by placing the whip there. I have never used 1 of these antennas b4 so any input would be helpfull- thanks

Thanks 147, but if do have an issue how do tune An 102?
What kind of trailer do you pull? Could be an issue with a van/reefer. A flat bed/tanker or the like it will work good. If you could, try mounting it to a grab bar as high as you can legally get away with on height. The 102 with a 6 inch spring will be a full 1/4 wave and shouldn't need tuning, but if it shows to be short, you can add a short piece of wire to the tip. Best of luck and keep us to update. I ran one on a rock hauler for three years. It will take a beating and keep on talking.
