I'm Looking for a Really Small Antenna for a hand held CB I found one that works on a 2m and had a magnet base of about the size of a quarter. It was about 17 inches tall. Is this available for the CB market

Antenna lengths deal with partial wave lengths of a particular frequency of use. At 2 meters, a 1/4 wave length is approximately 17 inches. That same 1/4 wave length at CB frequencies is about 9 feet long. The difference between 145 Mhz (2 meters) and 27 Mhz (CB). You can probably find CB antennas as short as 2 feet, maybe. They will work, but not very well at all. The lower you go in frequency the longer the antenna will be. Not very convenient, but that's how it is.

Oh, forgot the handheld thingy. There's also an antenna commonly called a 'rubber duck'. It will be at least close to what you are looking for. It's strictly a last resort sort of thingy. Absolutely -anything- will be better than a 'rubber duck' antenna.
