PREDATOR 10K
Anyone have an idea of what kind of mount I should use on this antenna and a good place to mount on 2009 Peterbilt?

388 model. It's not the extended hood and not the short slanted hood. It has a slight slant to it. It's a winch truck with a metal headache rack.

You can get the wide style mirror bracket mounts at most truck stops. That is what I had to use on my truck. Be careful not to over tighten the mount as it could bend or crack. I run a 10k as well and have it mounted on the drivers side, this way I can keep an eye on it. Opening and closing the door as had no effect on the antenna or my swr. I also use the predator stud mount. hope this helps.

I ordered the stud mount from Predator today. I had mounted on a regular stud and it looked kinda weak. I'm running a hustler until the Predator stud arrives. Thanks for the info. How much of the whip did you have to cut to get your SWR right?

It was somewhere around two feet. It seemed like a lot but did the job.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Mine gives an SWR check that would make you think the SWR needle is glued in place for all 40 regular channels.
It is also a beautiful peice of craftsmanship, and is very light in weight.
It receives so well that radio static now has a sucking sound to it.....
