This will depend on the type of interference. The TVI filter you would use is a low pass filter, limiting higher frequency signals. He would use a high pass filter, but........this is only if the interference is frequency related. If he has surround speakers or something that is picking up your signal from overload or something the filter will do nothing for you, and you would waste money and not resolve it. Does he have speakers hooked up, with cords that are about 9 foot long? Is he on cable? If on cable, it is HIGHLY unlikely the filter will help. If it is the speaker system and wires you need to modify his stuff, as in put rf torroids on his speaker cables to try and stop it. You won't be able to do anything on your end for that. Is it on all channels or just a few? That will tell ya. On all channels, forget about the filter most likely. If on just channel 2 and 5, or something like that, do the filter deal. A good filter for your station, because if you interfere with him you may have other victims, is a Drake LP1000, or a Bencher, and can be found on the web used.

Be lucky he said something to you and not the law. How much power are you running? Does it do it with all radios? It could be a tuning issue on your end if you have a modded dirty harmonic radiating system, over barefoot power, or both.

By the way, that balun is great but has nothing to do with overload interference or if it is frequency/harmonic related. I guess it could help if you had in house coax radiation based interference, but we're talking about a neighbor.

I use a Bencher YA-1 low-pass filter at my location, I have a ground buss system with everything grounded yet I still bleed my own surround sound system. My best friend lives 4 houses down and I can also bleed his surround sound system. We did some tests with him on the phone to me, with my RCI-2995 only and a D104. I can adjust the radio Mic gain and get the bleed over out of his system but not my own, thus modulation is the key for my problem. I have not tried toroids (#43) on my own speaker wires yet but plan to. Work with him to try and solve the problem, yet if you are running power I don't know if it is possible in your case. Good luck.

tv's are way more acceptable to higher frequency harmonics yes....52mhz plus

is why the easiest is the tvi filter or rf choke first.........and 100 percent mod

then move on from there
