Ebay, Craigslist and other online sale & auction sites are literally FULL of good and bad deals alike.

There could be a whole complete separate forum on bad Ebay deals. I know it's been suggested before, but again----maybe there should be atleast a separate CBRT Forum topic section for these type of threads describing and highlighting the millions of bad deals.

Actually, a better topic section could be for the numerous CBRT Forum members to pool together resources and tip each other off for seemingly good deals on gear that many are always looking for. The bad deals and suspicious sales are really endless.

A tip-off topic section to good prices or deals on either what you've noticed various members are looking for, or what would or could interest the guys-----would potentailly be a positive and valuable resource.

Wonder what kind it would have been worth with the matching box ???? Oops the box doesn't come with it
Its not a real radio unless it has tubes and USB/LSB on the front panel ....

That guy should be shot on site! I had one of those Hy Gain radios back in 77 or 78. It was originally a 23 channel, but when the 40 channels came out, Company's like Hy Gain, and EF Johnson took all the 23 channel radios they had, and retrofitted them for 40 channels. The channel selector was replaced with one that had all 40 channels on it, but the numbers were so small and hard to read, it was hard to tell what channel you were really on! Some of the channel selector knobs had dashes between numbers supposedly to help ya read it at a glance, but really did nothing...

New that radio probably would have been around $60..."with the box and sticker!"
