Hello all, as usual I'm playing with antennas at home. I ran across this long ago and now I'm around to trying one. It was mentioned on here by a member and fell off the screen. It is a single element V beam, and based on what I've read it may work. If you have the book, there is references there that I've researched and it looks possible. It is horizontal in the pic, but I'm thinking maybe a vertical one for fun. Maybe this would make a nice mobile/portable beam? Check it out and tell me what you think. I have the stuff and plan to try it at home and portable, but I'm thinking that a horizontal one on a tv rotor just may give me another low profile quick erect beam antenna alternative. Maybe one using shorter fiberglass antennas for a switchable horizontal mobile antenna? The link is below:

Yeah, I have the vertical tree deal that works for local, I'm thinking dx myself, just to have something to switch to and maybe a little directivity. I have the L brackets to do the 90 without bending my whips. I'll fab one up tonight or tomorrow for testing. I wonder if a rooftop mobile one, using 4 ft. fiberglass francis antennas would work if I could get it far enough above the roof? May be fun to try. Cya, -drdx
