Spring question

#215215

Post by Springer »

I don't have a lot of options around me for CB accessories, at least I didn't before I found this site, so I purchased a barrel the spring for my 102 from a truck stop. It's from Diesel Electronics and says SUPER HEAVY DUTY, up to 8' antennas. It doesn't feel very super to me. It seems to weave going down the road, not just lean back.

Anyone have experience with this spring to make a comparison? Suggestions?

Thanks for looking

Hustler SSM-3 is a real heavy duty spring. All springs will allow some lay back, but the whip will lay way back on it's own too.

Thanks for the responses. I've got a Hustler on the way. Oh yea, it's interesting what you'll find when you search for that spring in google.
