If your wanting to set up dual antenna's on your Suburban, like a "Two-Hot" set-up (also called a "End Fire Array") I have a instruction manual I can email ya, that explains everything you need to know, like correct lengths of coax to use, and spacing (which is critical to get the antenna's to work properly)Alien Abductor wrote:im wanted to set up t tops, dual bad boys on a burdon. The instructions were written using 102" Whips, but you can opt. to use Coiled antenna's using the same info, only difference would be, you have to set the SWR of each antenna, where if you used 102" Whips, it would not be necessary.
And then what you would do, is after the mounts are installed, and the coax all ran, what you do is first put a antenna on the front mount, and set the SWR...Then move that antenna to the back mounting location and put your second antenna on the front, and then set the SWR for it. (Just be sure you have your first antenna that you already tuned, installed on the back, before you try to set the SWR for the last antenna)
The Bad Boy T-Top Antenna's work the same way the vertical ones do, so you set them up in the same way...
This takes time, so don't rush threw it. It will also give you more forward gain, and less signal out the back. Making your set-up more of a "Beam" set-up with most of the signal going toward the front of the truck.
email me @ jessejamesdallas (at) hotmail.com and I can send ya what I have...It will need to open in Microsoft Word. (which is why I can just post the info on here!)

MY Suburban with Predator 10K Comp Antenna's, set-up in a End Fire Array (2-Hot's)...It's hard to see, but the front antenna after tuned, will be about 6" shorter than the back when done...It's also better (or easier to use something like a Antenna Analyzer rather than a SWR Meter, to do this...I used a MFJ 259b Analyzer)

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
